This site was originally intended to follow David Moffitt through his Baseball "career". That was short lived, however, lasting less than 1 season of Tee-Ball. David was faced with an inattentive coach, some inclement weather, and a non-supportive father. His dad wouldnt let him play or practice on his visitation days, so David was forced to miss a large percentage of games.
We did capture a few memories, though, and will share what we can.
David has expressed an interest in sharing the hobby of his older brother, Joshua Moffitt, and would like to try Outlaw Kart Racing. We have decided to try to support that desire, and fund a second car. On 8/7/08 we secured a chassis to use as the basis for the "David Moffitt Special" This chassis is an Iceberg Racing karts chassis. Iceberg was the builder of the cage and conversion parts we used to assemble Joshua's sucessful car. Iceberg also built our Outlaw Barstool Racer. It is high quality stuff, and should make a good car to start out in. It incorprates the Heim style front end for easier and more accurate adjustments.
Follow along as we prepare the car for competition at English Creek Speedway in Knxville Iowa. It is our intent to have David compete in the R-Stock division and move Joshua up to the Box Stocks. ( known in other areas as the Modfieds)
We ae hoping that this may be the peer interaction that could help bring David some much needed confidence and social skills.
